Traditionally, ponds have been mechanically dredged. This process can be very costly, destructive to the pond, and a hassle to pond owners. Pond Champs offers a biological lake & pond dredging program, which instead uses high doses of beneficial microbes to remove organic material from the pond floor. We utilize a unique mix of bacteria and techniques that will ensure a program that will reduce muck & sludge from the bottom of a pond or lake. Each treatment is guaranteed to reduce muck at an average of 6 inches per application.
Lake front property owners can hire us for a one time treatment or multiple treatments in one season based on their needs and the property. After identifying your weeds and algae types, we submit an application regarding our findings and what products we intend to use. As long as we have approval, we can then move forward and schedule your lake treatment(s). Approval can take up to two weeks. DNR fees are included in with your treatment price. Muck treatments do not require DNR approval and would just require measurements before treatment.
Stagnant water produces an ideal environment for mosquitoes, weeds, and algae to thrive in a pond. Aerators and fountains keep the water moving. We provide a number of fountain and aerator brands such as: Aqua Master, Otterbine, Nashville Pump & Pond, and Vanguard Water Creations. Though we do not install or remove units from ponds, we can connect you with someone who can.
